The Tamil Nadu Government Monday denied the claims of opposition leader J. Jayalalithaa of her impending arrest by the state police. ‘The allegation is a figment of her imagination and not based on any fact,’ Director General of Police K.P. Jain said in a press release here.
Jayalalitha, AIADMK chief, said in a statement Sunday evening that she has been informed by top police officials that Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi has ordered her arrest. (IANS)
