Mulangavil, Kalvilan fall to Forces -Daily News

Security Forces operating on the joint Mannar-Vavuniya front yesterday closed in on Kilinochchi having captured Mulangavil on the Mannar Pooneryn road and Kalvilan village located southwest of Thunukkai, Military officials told the Daily News yesterday.

The Security Forces attached to the 58 Division marked yet another victory as they captured Mulangavil town, a fairly spread township along the Mannar Pooneryn A-32 road where the LTTE had their ‘national’ stadium and a massive cemetery, Military officials told the Daily News yesterday.

The troops attached to 58 Division under the command of Brigadier Shavendra Silva captured this town yesterday morning pushing the LTTE further north on the A-32 road towards Nachchikudah, the last Sea Tiger base on the North Western coast.

According to Brigadier Silva, General Officer Commanding of the 58 Division the capture of Mulangavil is a bigger victory for the Army since it was considered the second most important township in the Kilinochchi district after the Kilinochchi town.

”It is fairly a big blow to the LTTE as they had to withdraw from one of their administrative bases where they had their stadium and a massive cemetery,” Brigadier Silva added.

According to ground troops there had been more than 500 graves of LTTE cadres buried between May 20 and July 18 and a massive area has been cleared for graves.

A large number of LTTE offices have also been located within Mulangavil giving the impression that the LTTE had used this township as one of their administrative centres in the Kilinochchi district.

With the capture of Mulangavil town troops attached to the 58 Division are now operating just one Kilometre south of Nachchikuda.

Meanwhile, troops attached to the 57 Division captured Kalvilan a village located two kilometres South West of Thunukkai after two days of fighting clearing the path to Thunukkai. According to sources more than 30 Tiger cadres were killed as troops repulsed six counter attacks of the LTTE to thwart the advance of the troops into the village. The troops fully consolidated the village by yesterday afternoon.

Reversing C++ String And QString

After the rust string overview of its internal substructures, let's see if c++ QString storage is more light, but first we'r going to take a look to the c++ standard string object: At first sight we can see the allocation and deallocation created by the clang++ compiler, and the DAT_00400d34 is the string. If we use same algorithm than the rust code but in c++: We have a different decompilation layout. Note that the Ghidra scans very fast the c++ binaries, and with  rust binaries gets crazy for a while. Locating main is also very simple in a c++ compiled binary, indeed is more  low-level than rust. The byte array is initialized with a simply move instruction:         00400c4b 48 b8 68        MOV        RAX,0x6f77206f6c6c6568 And basic_string generates the string, in the case of  rust this was carazy endless set of calls, detected by ghidra as a runtime, but nevertheless the basic_str...
