STF, Navy seize Tiger arms, ammunition - Daily News- 2008/08/27

Special Task Force personnel seized a stock of arms and ammunition from the general area of Kurukulmadu, Batticaloa on Sunday.

One T-56 weapon, 114 T-56 ammunition rounds, two magazines, one micro pistol, three micro pistol ammunition rounds and one weapons sling were found during the search.

Meanwhile, Special Task Force troops north of Kumbukkanoya in Ampara on Sunday recovered one anti-personnel mine, one Global Positioning System, one LTTE uniform, one harness pack and one walkman set.

Meanwhile, sailors in the Erakkandy area, north of Trincomalee recovered three gelignite chargers each 700 g, two safety fuses and four non electrical detonators on Sunday during a special search operation in the area.
