Una Obstrucción En La Red De Alcantarillado Obligó A Cerrar Al Baño La Playa De Arinaga

El Ayuntamiento de Agüimes tuvo que cerrar este miércoles al baño la playa de Arinaga por un vertido de aguas fecales, frente al Puesto de Socorro, producido por la obstrucción en la red de alcantarillado que, según el Alcalde de Agüimes, Óscar Hernández, se originó por un tapón de toallitas de baño, papel, aceites y grasas, artículos todos que siguen siendo arrojados al inodoro por algunos vecinos-as pese a que, recordó el regidor agüimense, desde el consistorio no se cansan de repetir que acciones así pueden obstruir las conducciones de las aguas fecales.
El primer vertido fue detectado en torno a las 14.30 horas, momento en que los operarios municipales comenzaron a actuar de inmediato para limpiar la red y solucionar el problema, pero la fuga se volvió a repetir pasadas las 16.00 horas, lo que obligó a una segunda intervención de carácter urgente.
En principio, la avería, según confirmó Hernández, quedó resuelta el mismo miércoles, aunque ahora falta certificar las condiciones óptimas del agua de baño para poder reabrir la playa, para lo que los técnicos de la Mancomunidad del Sureste hicieron ya un primer análisis, que se repitió ayer, y que permitirían reabrir la playa si los resultados son plenamente satisfactorios.
El Ayuntamiento de Agüimes insiste una vez más, apelando a la concienciación ciudadana, que el hecho de arrojar por el inodoro aceites domésticos, toallitas higiénicas, bastoncillos, colillas, entre otros productos, causa un grave problema en la red de alcantarillado, siendo la mayor lacra de la depuración de agua y la propia red, porque atoran todos los conductos y puede provocar vertidos de aguas fecales al mar, como es el caso.
